Our much loved Mom, Nan, and Great-nan, who meant the world to us all.
Mom and Dad were married almost 60 years, she died 2 months exactly before
their diamond anniversary. She was always there for us all, with a cup of tea, and a smile.
Always there to guide us, or lend a hand, or just to listen. She loved having
her family all round, always at the centre of the family, keeping us all informed
of what the other family members and friends were doing.
We were all treated the same, no-one ever felt left out. She had a way of making everyone
feel 'special'. She had a great sense of humour, and enjoyed having a laugh with us all.
We all miss her deeply, and we'll always love her.

A smile, or remembered phrase,
Our loved ones live in memory -
So close in so many ways.
For how often does a sunset
Bring nostalgic thoughts to mind
Of moments that our loved one shared
In days now left behind!
How often has a flower
Or a crystal autumn sky
Brought golden recollections
Of happy day gone by!
Yes, memory has a magic way
Of keeping loved ones near -
Ever close in mind and heart
Are the ones we hold most dear

Sometimes I think I catch a glimpse
of you standing just close by
I turn and see that you're not there
at the corner of my eye.
I want so much to turn around
and see you standing there,
for you to stay and let me touch
your hands, your face, your hair.
I long to hear you call me,
in your beloved voice.
I want you so to stay with me
but I know you have no choice.
So I'll keep on trying to catch a glimpse
when you're just beyond my sight
I feel you there, I know it's true,
and not a trick of the light.
I know one day there'll come a time,
when there'll be no doubt I'm sure.

Mom,you are talked about so often by the ones who loved you so,
each memory is treasured through the days that come and go.
You were the dearest mom who did everything for love,
you always made things better with a reassuring hug.
You gave advise that helped so much,you would listen ,share and care,
it was really was a comfort simply knowing you were there.
The world goes by and you are missed much more than words can say
but you are always thought of with love and thats the way it will stay.

The Hearts Library
Imagine if I was given one moment,
just a single slice of my past.
I could hold it close forever,
and that moment would always last.
Id put the moment in a safe,
within my hearts abode.
I could open it when I wanted,
and only I would know the code.
I could choose a time of laughing,
a time of happiness and fun.
I could choose a time that tried me,
through everything I've done.
I sat and thought about what moment,
would always make me smile.
One that would always push me,
to walk that extra mile.
If I'm feeling sad and low,
if I'm struggling with what to do.
I can go and open my little safe,
and watch my moment through.
There are moments I can think of,
that would lift my spirits everytime.
The moments when you picked me up,
when the road was hard to climb.
For me to only pick one moment,
to cherish, save and keep,
Is proving really difficult,
as I've gathered up a heap!
I've dug deep inside my heart,
found the safe and looked inside,
there was room for lots of moments,
in fact hundreds if I tried.
Am building my own little library,
embedded in my heart,
for all the moments spent with you,
before you had to part.
I can open it up whenever I like,
pick a moment and watch it through,
My little library acts as a promise,
I'll never ever forget you
